I don't know about you but the weather this past week where we live has got me longing for those summer days ahead! I love spending time with our girls at the pool and on the beach! Spring break always gives us a glimpse of this time that is quickly approaching!
When our middle child, Audrey, was 14 mths, I remember that we had just moved into a new home and our February was much like the same we are having now, filled with unusually warm (sometimes hot) days. That is when I knew that I wanted her to be potty trained before the summer season began. I was determined not to have to use those bulky 'swim diapers'. Not only did they cost a fortune, but they are uncomfortable and not so flattering.
So, I planned to train Audrey ASAP. There was a break in our schedule when our oldest, Ellee, did not have preschool and my husband was going to be traveling. I knew that I had those 5 important days to dedicate to the training!
She was 16 months at the time, and already showing interest. We had been 'potty talking' for a while now and I thought this window was the perfect opportunity!
Needless to say, we trained, we conquered and we achieved our goal!! I remember Easter being in March and the weather was glorious. She was running around the backyard with her basket hunting eggs wearing those cute little Disney Princess panties!! It made me laugh because she was so tiny and so precious to watch. I was proud of her and myself.
We went to the pool that spring break and I remember lifeguards noticing she didn't have a swim diaper on. They stopped her and told me that she needed one to swim. I think that they were a little embarrassed and definitely shocked that this little lady had been out of diapers for over 2 months!!
Here is a couple of pictures from our beach trip that April! Audrey was 18 months old!
I write all of this to tell you that if you are thinking of potty training and you have hit that window of time with your little one, now is the best time to train!! Perhaps you have a spring break where you will be at home. All it takes is 5 days (and more times that not, even less that that). Time after time the reason parents do not train is the fear of failure. They doubt themselves. "Will I really know how to train my child and do so successfully?"
I have said this before and I will say it a million more times. My methods are not the only thing that makes the beam potty training method successful. Although my personalized plan and potty training package does set us apart, the SUPPORT you will receive will be unmatched. I assure you that you will not find someone more dedicated to helping your child train than us. Let beam be the answer and relief you are looking for!
So, what are you waiting for?
